The Chicago Bulls have found themselves in no shortage of trade discussions ahead of the start of the 2020 NBA Draft. The New Orleans Pelicans have only added to that with their interest in the No. 4 pick.

According to’s Brandon ‘Scoop’ Robinson, the New Orleans Pelicans are interested in trading for the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft from the Chicago Bulls.

It’s unclear which NBA Draft prospect the Pelicans could be eyeing with a move up to the No. 4 spot in the order. It’s almost certain that James Wiseman will be off the board and it’s likely so will Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball. However, there will still be talent available.

There is a combination of players including Oneyka Okongwu, Isaac Okoro, Killian Hayes, or Obi Toppin who could be intriguing to the Pelicans. After trading away Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks, there is room for New Orleans to add more backcourt talent.

With Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson displaying intriguing potential during the 2019-20 season, it’s clear who the Pelicans need to build around. Using the 2020 NBA Draft could be a helpful tool to add another member of the core to build for the future.

The Chicago Bulls have been rumored as having an interest in trading up to take James Wiseman. It’s difficult to envision them being willing to trade down from that spot if they are pursuing such a deal.
