The Golden State Warriors currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and have a ton of decisions to make. With the news breaking that Klay Thompson suffered what appears to be a serious right leg injury, it could change the direction they go with the pick. LaMelo Ball has added even more intrigue to the draft with a post in Instagram Live.

In his video, Ball tells fans to look at his fingers. He is holding up two fingers, which seems to hint that the Warriors are going to take him with the No. 2 overall selection.

Take a look at Ball’s video for yourself:

Throughout the entire draft process, the Warriors have gone back and forth in the rumor mill. Some reports have them connected to Anthony Edwards, others have them connected to James Wiseman, and now Ball is the hot topic.

Should the Warriors choose to go with Ball, they would be bringing in a back-court option to play alongside Stephen Curry. Ball certainly would not have the kind of impact that Thompson would, but he could help relieve the pain of losing Thompson to injury once again.

No one truly knows the severity of Thompson’s injury. The last thing the Warriors should do is overreact and take Ball if they would prefer Wiseman or another prospect. Golden State could also still look to trade down.

Ball has the potential and talent to become a star at the NBA level. He certainly would be a good pick for the Warriors. However, Wiseman would fill a huge need for Golden State in the paint.

We won’t have to wait too much longer to find out what direction the Warriors are going to go in the NBA Draft. At this point, LaMelo Ball seems to be a very likely choice for Golden State.
