The Miami Heat hold the No. 20 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, but they may be looking to make some other moves. After making a run to the NBA Finals, they are going to try to improve their roster. One way to do that could be by moving talented young guard Kendrick Nunn.
According to a report shared by NBA Central, the Heat have told Nunn that he may end up being moved during the NBA Draft.
Nunn burst onto the scene with the Heat during the 2019-20 NBA season. He showed off the ability to score in bunches. There are quite a few teams who could use some help in the scoring category and he could be an affordable option.
During the 2019-20 season, Nunn ended up averaging 15.3 points per game to go along with 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds. He shot 43.9 percent from the floor and knocked down 35 percent of his three-point attempts.
At just 25 years old, quite a few teams could consider trading a pick for Nunn. In a draft class where teams have been unable to watch players up close due to COVID-19, acquiring a proven player that they know what to expect from may be an attractive option.
This is something to keep a close eye on. Kendrick Nunn may end up sticking with the Heat, but they are open to moving him.
Expect to hear plenty of rumors throughout the course of the NBA Draft. Even though there haven’t been as many draft night trades as we expected, things could still pick up.
