This Spurs-Warriors trade pairs LaMarcus Aldridge with Curry, Thompson

A rumor that has surfaced over the last week is the possibility of San Antonio Spurs star LaMarcus Aldridge being sent to the Golden State Warriors. It would shake things up in the Western Conference in a big way. Golden State is ready to compete once again for a championship. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will be healthy and ready to go once the season begins.

That alone makes them contenders in the West and they could be looking to get even better. They currently hold the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, which would land them an elite prospect or a player in a trade.

As for the Spurs, they seem to be going in a different direction. The Spurs did not make the playoffs for the first time in 22 years and this could point them in the direction of a rebuild. There is a chance they look to deal both Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan.

If they do, one could be on their way to Golden State to join Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Many do not like the idea of this trade, but let’s take a look at what it might look like if something was able to get done.
