The Hypothetical Trade

Charlotte Hornets Receive: Blake Griffin, Tony Snell, No. 7 Pick, No. 18 Pick, 2023 1st Round Pick

Dallas Mavericks Receive: Derrick Rose

Detroit Pistons Receive: Nicolas Batum, Terry Rozier, Delon Wright, No. 3 Pick

Veteran players, expiring contracts, and draft picks. This trade has it all. The big move is the Hornets moving down out of the three spot, but they would acquire two picks and Griffin in the deal.

This is a chance for Dallas to get the ball handler and third star they want while not giving up a ton. As for the Pistons, they could send Griffin away, who has dealt with injuries, and get back Rozier and Wright.

Each team is getting a decent return here. Let’s see how it would work out for each of the three teams.
