3. Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets have been linked to many big men this offseason because they are extremely thin at center. Charlotte has the cap space to pay Serge Ibaka and hitch their wagon to the big man.

In Charlotte, Cody Zeller has one more year on his contract past 2020-2021. Players like Bismack Biyombo and Willy Hernangomez are entering the final year of his contract. These are players that will not be brought back, so there is some room for Ibaka.

That is not to say that Ibaka will land a long-term deal, but he could get paid for two or three years in Charlotte. Devonte Graham and Terry Rozier would benefit from a versatile big man who could be used in the pick-and-roll game or step out and shoot from beyond the arc.

The Hornets are not restricted heading into the offseason. Teams eyeing Ibaka might have a few more restrictions. This will come down to what Ibaka wants to do. If he wants to make a little more money, it could land him in Charlotte.
