This Raptors-Timberwolves trade pairs Pascal Siakam, Karl-Anthony Towns

The Minnesota Timberwolves hold the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. They have a chance to land a top prospect. If they choose to make a trade, they will get a nice player in return like Toronto Raptors’ Pascal Siakam to team up with Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell.

The Raptors and Siakam agreed to a four-year, $130 million max contract extension last year. It would seem like Siakam is safe but if the Raptors get back a big return, including the top overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, it is something they might consider.

Siakam would solidify the frontcourt for the Timberwolves. They are in need of another NBA star to take their roster to another level. Towns has been unhappy in Minnesota and adding a player like Siakam should keep him happy and determined to make a run.

If a deal were to get done, it might look something like this. Both sides would have to come to an agreement with current player and NBA Draft picks.
