The prospect of being able to form a superstar trio with the Brooklyn Nets alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving is quite an intriguing one for James Harden. It could be a clear pathway to make a run at the NBA Finals that he has long awaited to achieve.
It’s unclear what the Philadelphia 76ers would part with in an effort to acquire Harden. It’s difficult to envision the team not having to give up either Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid in order to get it done.
Wherever James Harden ends up playing next season, his superstar impact puts his team in a position to achieve great things. It’s just simply too tall of a task for a lone superstar to carry a team through the Western Conference. Switching to the other side of the bracket with greater talent would certainly help.
