2. Trade The Pick For A Key Contributor

Trading the pick has been an option for the Golden State Warriors or awhile now. They are not a team that is looking for a franchise-changing player at No. 2 in the 2020 NBA Draft. Golden State already has three of those. They are looking for a prospect to develop, one that could come in and perform well off the bench.

The Warriors will find this if they trade down. Deni Avdija will not have to be taken with the No. 2 overall pick. If they want another player, such as Tyrese Haliburton or Onyeka Okongwu, they could trade down.

This would allow the Warriors to put together a package and gain some assets. We mentioned Wiggins being a valuable trade piece moving forward.

This was a good year for the Warriors to be down. Their players were able to rest and get healthy during the restart since they were not invited. Now, they have the second-overall pick and a bunch of options on what to do with it.
