Victor Oladipo is an All-Star caliber player but he could be looked at as a risk heading into next season. He is coming off a serious knee injury and is entering the final year of his contract.
On the other hand, this means he will not be expensive. The Mavericks would be able to keep their draft picks and Hardaway Jr. in this deal. Oladipo would serve as a rental player for one year before hitting free agency.
Knowing Mark Cuban’s history, he would not hesitate to re-sign Oladipo. this is another instance where Dallas would gain an offensive star that could take them to the next level.
Oladipo has struggled with injuries but he is an elite player when on the floor. There has been some drama in Indiana so it is clear that he will be available via trade this offseason.
