Dallas Mavericks Receive: Spencer Dinwiddie
Brooklyn Nets Receive: Delon Wright, No. 18 Pick, No. 31 Pick
Spencer Dinwiddie is the smallest name on this list but his game speaks for itself. When Kylie Irving was sitting out with an injury, Dinwiddie stepped right in as the point guard and did not miss a beat. He averaged 20.6 points and 6.8 assists per game in 64 contests.
With Irving returning next season, there is little room for Dinwiddie. The Nets could use him for depth but he has shown that he is not a bench player in the league. He is a guard worthy of a starting spot. This is what he would be with the Dallas Mavericks.
Dinwiddie would take some needed pressure off both Doncic and Tim Hardaway Jr. by handling the ball on the perimeter. He could also score when needed and be a pick-and-roll man with Porzingis. The attraction is there and it will not be expensive.
Delon Wright and a draft pick should get this deal done. Wright fits in more with the Nets given his ability to come off the bench. They would also be able to land a mid-round prospect to develop over time.
