4. Atlanta Hawks

Fred VanVleet could be looked at as a point guard and if that was the case, the fit would not be good with the Atlanta Hawks. He can play on the wing. This is what he has done during his time as a member of the Toronto Raptors. VanVleet and Trae Young would be an excellent backcourt.

The Hawks want to make a splash this NBA offseason. There are too many ideas being thrown around for the Hawks to remain quiet. Whether it is moving up in the NBA Draft or making a trade for a dynamic player on the perimeter, something has to be done.

In this case, they just need to make VanVleet a nice offer. The trio of VanVleet, Young, and John Collins is one that can get the Hawks in the right direction. Along with any of Atlanta’s recently drafted prospects that can manage to progress in their development.

It is unknown what the Hawks will try to do this NBA offseason but it is going to be fun to find out. Keep an eye on them in the VanVleet sweepstakes moving forward as some teams in need of a boost with no shortage of cap space when many lack that.
