Why the Trade Benefits the Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards need to go in a different direction. They have been mediocre for far too long. They are already stuck with John Wall and his injury problems. The team might as well try and get something back for Bradley Beal.
When Wall returns, who knows what kind of player he will be. It is unlikely that he will be the same dynamic player he once was. This leaves them without a true playmaker. Enter Paul George.
George has thrived on small-market teams throughout his NBA career as the main option. This is another chance for him. Washington would also receive the best sixth man in the league.
Washington seems like more of a fit for George than Los Angeles. He is a small market player who thrives with the ball in his hands. The Wizards would allow him to be their main offensive weapon.
