2. J.J. Redick
Redick is another player on the Pelicans that does not fit into their rebuilding plan. This would be a smaller deal than Holiday, but the production would be just as valuable for the Lakers.
We mentioned the Lakers needing three-point help next season. There have been few better than Redick during the course of his career.
This deal would help the team immediately. Danny Green is a stronger defender, but it is clear that his shooting ability is already on a steady decline. For Redick, it is quite the opposite.
He shot 45.3% from deep this season. That is basically why the Lakers brought Green in and it did not work.
Redick would be the type of perimeter player that would fit in perfectly with James. He is a player who knows how to run the floor and find the open spot on the perimeter. That is extremely valuable when James is leading a break and heading to the rim.
