The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers each experienced a disappointing end to their respective 2019-20 NBA campaign. Could both parties benefit from engaging in a potential Russell Westbrook trade— subsequently breaking up the Rockets’ duo with James Harden?
There appears to be some level of interest in a potential trade featuring Westbrook from at least one side— the Clippers.
According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, the Clippers, along with the New York Knicks, have an interest in pursuing a trade with the Rockets for Westbrook. There wasn’t a mention of Houston’s potential interest in engaging in such a possibility.
The Rockets should at least entertain the idea of a Westbrook trade when considering the superstar duo with James Harden was clunky at times. A case can be made either way, but there’s still a case for breaking up the two MVPs, nevertheless.
