4. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the one team on this list that will have to move up significantly if they want to land LaMelo Ball. They are also the team that has a ton of draft picks they could move in a deal.

Oklahoma City has a decade’s worth of draft capital from other teams built up from trades including Paul George and Russell Westbrook. Moving up would not be difficult because they have a ton to spend.

The Thunder drafted Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in 2018 and he is looking like one of their future stars. He is a point guard who can play off the ball as he has done with Chris Paul. The Thunder could look to deal away their veteran point guard and get younger at the position.

A backcourt of Ball and Gilgeous-Alexander should excite Oklahoma City. They have good size for the defensive end and their offensive skill would be dynamic. Oklahoma City currently holds the 25th pick in the draft. They would have to move up a long way but if any team has the resources, it is the Thunder.
