Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Cavaliers

We will start with taking a deeper look at this trade for the Cavs. No one truly knows what direction Cleveland will look to go this offseason. They have a lot of talented young pieces and are hoping to make a postseason push in the near future.

Kelly Oubre would be exactly the kind of piece that the Cavaliers need to bring in.

Last season with the Suns, Oubre averaged 18.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. He shot 45.2 percent from the floor and 35.2 percent from three-point range. Oubre is just 24 years old and would fit long-term for the Cavs.

Moving the No. 5 overall pick would not make a ton of fans happy, but it would make sense. What makes this move make sense is the fact that they would get the No. 10 pick back in return.

If the Cavaliers want to make a move that can help them compete more now, Oubre would be a good pickup. Kevin Love is a talented big man, but he doesn’t fit with this current group.
