Why the Trade Benefits the Houston Rockets

This trade benefits the Houston Rockets, first and foremost because they will be getting rid of Russell Westbrook. The experiment did not work and it is time to move on.

The return would be huge. If the Rockets continue their style of play that includes quickness and three-point shooting, Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson will fit right in. Robinson is one of the best up-and-coming shooters in the NBA.

Nunn is a speedy guard who has a high ceiling. Right now, the Rockets do not know how to win. This is where the veteran presence of Andre Igoudala and Kelly Olynyk would come into play.

Houston would get the No. 20 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft in this deal but the four players they would get back are the X-Factors. This is a huge load that Houston would be getting and it is something they should do immediately.
