The Miami Heat proved in the bubble that they are way ahead of schedule. They made a run through the Eastern Conference and fell to the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. This puts them in a great position entering the offseason.

There will be expectations in Miami next season and that could either help or hurt the team. A first-round exit will not be accepted in 2020-2021. This is why the Heat will have to improve.

All went right for the team in the bubble. If they get content and run it back, those circumstances could change and they could get bounced early.

Pat Riley is never satisfied. He likes to make the big move and knows how to build a team. This offseason, it is hard to imagine the Heat sitting on their hands and looking the same heading into next season. There are moves to be made in free agency and through trades. The Heat also need to remain open for a possible run at a superstar next season.
