3 trade packages for 76ers to dump Al Horford’s salary

Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Buddy Hield, Nemanja Bjelica

Sacramento Kings Receive: Al Horford, Josh Richardson, 2020 second-round pick (via ATL)

This trade would work for both sides in their goal of getting rid of big contracts. Hield has become disgruntled in Sacramento after signing a massive extension. The team moved him to the bench last season once Bogdan Bogdanovic began to breakout.

Hield checks all the boxes for the 76ers. He has turned into an elite three-point shooter over the last two years. He has shot around 40% since 2018.

They would be able to add Richardson in this deal and not have to give up a first-round pick. Here, the salaries will be matched a bit and the Sixers would get a player who is a much better fit.

This is a situation where Philadelphia could hold leverage over the Kings because of Hield’s feelings toward the franchise. He would give Ben Simmons a perimeter threat to look for when he drives to the basket.
