Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Cavaliers
Obviously, the main focal point of this deal would be the No. 2 overall pick for the Cavaliers. That pick could get them an elite prospect like James Wiseman, LaMelo Ball, or Anthony Edwards. They could go with another prospect, but a high-level young player would be a nice addition.
Andrew Wiggins being added from the Warriors would be a quality addition as well. He averaged 21.8 points per game to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season split between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Warriors.
Kevon Looney is another quality addition that would fit nicely into the Cavaliers’ front-court.
Nothing from the Celtics would be coming directly to Cleveland. Nor does that really matter at the end of the day.
This deal would bring in some important pieces for the Cavaliers. They are in the middle of a rebuild and aren’t too far away from breaking out. A three-team deal with the Warriors and Celtics would be a nice step in the right direction.
