New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday could be on the move this NBA offseason, as the Pelicans might capitalize on the trade value of their star guard before his player option arrives in 2021.

Holiday is not new to trade rumors, as last year before the pandemic struck, there were reports that New Orleans was open to trading Holiday.

Now, the Pelicans may be ready to make a move. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports New Orleans has “openly discussed” trading Holiday, and contending teams are interested.

In that same piece from The Athletic, Pelicans reporter Will Guillory says “there will be a long list of teams interested in pursuing Holiday” as the process takes shape.
