5. Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons currently hold the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. That puts them right on the outside of the top players in this draft. There have been talks of the Pistons potentially trying to move up to No. 2 in a trade with the Warriors.
There are few truly game-changing prospects in this draft so if a team wants one, they will have to move into the top-five at least. This is a situation where a team might rank a player as the best in the draft but there is a chance he could fall.
In 2019, there was no chance of Zion Williamson falling out of the No. 1 spot and Ja Morant was not going to make it past No. 2. That is not the case this year.
Detroit could look to add an elite level prospect to try and speed up their rebuild. If they do, they have some pieces to move along with the seventh-overall pick.
