Moving on to another Los Angeles team, the Clippers could be an intriguing destination to keep a close eye on.

After being embarrassed by the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs, the Clippers moved on from head coach Doc Rivers. Tyronn Lue is the new head coach in Los Angeles. Adding a star point guard who can set up his teammates and create his own shot would be very valuable for L.A.

Paul would fit in nicely alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. He would also add a guy who can take over late in games, which was a major need last season.

Giving up Shamet, Beverley, and McGruder would be a steep price, but a price that would be well worth it. The Thunder may not be as intrigued by this trade package as they would the Lakers’ offer, but it might be enough to get a deal done.

The Clippers need to make some moves this offseason if they want to compete with the Lakers in the West. Chris Paul would be a big step in the right direction.
