Minnesota Timberwolves Star Target No. 5 — Ben Simmons

This is the least likely trade option but the Philadelphia 76ers could be looking to shake up the organization. They already began when they hired Daryl Morey as President of Basketball Operations and Doc Rivers as head coach.

The situation in Philly with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid has not worked. The team could look to move one of them and Simmons fits best with the Timberwolves. He would be able to run the show at point guard with Russell on the wing and Karl-Anthony Towns down low.

This would be one of the NBA’s elite trio on the court. A trade could work because the Timberwolves have the No. 1 pick in the draft. The Sixers need to dump some bad contracts and while Simmons is not one, he is a hot commodity.

The plan of attack for the Sixers is unknown entering the offseason. They will have some options and need to make some big moves if they want to compete in 2020-21.
