3. Isaac Okoro, Small Forward, Auburn
Isaac Okoro is expected to be among the top picks in the NBA Draft. In the Auburn guard’s own estimation, he said in October that he feels he should be the No. 1 pick.
“I’m just willing to do whatever any coaches want me to do. So I feel like me bringing a winning culture, I should be the No. 1 pick,” he said.
Okoro certainly has confidence, which will bode well for him in the NBA. But he may not go No. 1 overall. If he’s on the board at No. 5, he’d be among the best options for the Cavaliers.
Once again, his position overlaps with a glut of other young Cavs drafted in the past few years, but for a developing team, it’s hard to pass on talented prospects such as Okoro.
Okoro is skilled at getting to the rim, and he could be an intriguing option in the pick-and-roll game in Cleveland.
