3. Trade The Pick For A Veteran
If the Bulls feel they can improve their chances to win with a veteran instead of a rookie at No. 4 in the NBA Draft, it would be a good asset to shop in a trade.
Can Aaron Gordon be had for the No. 4 pick? What about a package for Jrue Holiday?
Those are a few veterans who could make sense for the Bulls, and both offer more experience than a rookie can bring this year.
The downside to a Holiday or a Gordon is Holiday can opt out after 2021, and Gordon is only under contract for two more years.
This obviously varies from the No. 4 pick, but it would be a win-now move for the Bulls. Chicago could use the trade value of this pick to land a veteran to put alongside Zach LaVine in Billy Donovan’s first season.
