Utah Jazz Receive: Blake Griffin

Detroit Pistons Receive: Royce O’Neal, Joe Ingles, Ed Davis, No. 23 pick

In this last hypothetical, the Utah Jazz part with four assets to acquire Blake Griffin: Royce O’Neal, Ed Davis, Joe Ingles and their first round pick. 

For the Pistons, this haul is a mix of veterans and potential. Ingles, 33, has proven to be a capable scorer in spurts. Davis, 31, can provide depth in the frontcourt as a backup. 

The Pistons would also take a chance on O’Neal, who is 27 and could have more of an opportunity on a rebuilding Pistons squad. 

As in the previous scenario, the Pistons grab the 23rd pick, which would give the Pistons options in the draft. Detroit could select two players, or the Pistons could try to package those picks in an effort to move up from No. 7.
