Phoenix Suns Receive: Damian Lillard

Portland Trail Blazers Receive: Mikal Bridges, Ricky Rubio, 2020 1st Round Pick (No. 2 Pick), 2022 1st Round Pick (via PHX), 2024 1st Round Pick (via PHX)

Golden State Warriors Receive: Kelly Oubre Jr., 2020 1st Round Pick (No. 10 Pick)

A common idea for trades ahead of the 2020 NBA Draft features the Phoenix Suns sending the No. 10 pick with Kelly Oubre Jr. to the Golden State Warriors— netting the No. 2 pick.

Instead of holding onto the No. 2 pick, the Suns could coordinate with a third team to pull off a bigger trade. Perhaps no better option would be out there for Phoenix to pursue than to put together a potential trade offer for the Portland Trail Blazers focused around Damian Lillard.

By excluding Deandre Ayton in this trade package, the Suns would throw in another first round pick to add value. Taking on Ricky Rubio and Mikal Bridges would help the Trail Blazers to fill the starting lineup alongside CJ McCollum while also having the prospect taken with the No. 2 pick.
