Chicago Bulls Receive: No. 7 Pick, Sekou Doumbouya

The Detroit Pistons may be seeking a playmaker in the 2020 NBA Draft but the No. 7 pick could be barely out of position to land a standout. Trading up a few spots in the order would enable the Pistons to ensure they can be in a slot necessary to land a prospect like Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton appears to be an option the Pistons could view as a potential fit to serve as a key element to a rebuild. Other teams will be intrigued by his potential, so there’s a risk for Detroit by just simply waiting to see if he falls to No. 7 when the picks start being made.

The Chicago Bulls would need to be enticed in order to move down from No. 4 overall. With a need for a wing, the Bulls would benefit from the inclusion of Sekou Doumbouya in a potential trade package— the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

There would still be some intriguing potential options for the Bulls to take with the No. 7 pick in this scenario. It’s something worth considering unless they themselves are also going to want to take Haliburton. Otherwise, moving down is a logical option.
