2. Blake Griffin, Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons could be looking to start from the very beginning next season. They dealt Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Griffin could be the next star on the move.
The Pistons are looking to compete in the future and it is going to take some time.
Griffin is still a big time talent when he is on the floor, but that has been the exact problem. He has been injured over the years and with his increasing age, teams could shy away.
That might not be the case for a contending team looking for another star. Griffin played just 18 games last season, but was an All-Star in 2018-2019. He averaged 24.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest. Griffin has turned into a capable three-point shooter and still has the dynamic athleticism.
If this was five years ago, the Pistons would be happy to have Griffin. Heading into the 2020-2021 season, this fit just does not work for either side.
Expect to see the Pistons strongly consider moving on from Blake Griffin this offseason.
