5. Buddy Hield, Sacramento Kings
Last October, Hield signed a four-year, $94 million extension with the Sacramento Kings. He was quickly moved to the bench in favor of Bogdan Bogdanovic. With Bogdanovic becoming a restricted free agent, the team will have to pay to keep him around.
That is not good news for Hield.
The Kings could choose to sign Bogdanovic to an expensive offer sheet and that puts the team in a position to trade Hield. The substantial extension kicks in next season and many NBA teams will be interested in Hield. He is a legitimate three-point threat. Hield can light it up from deep and do it on a nightly basis.
The situation went downhill quickly for Hield in Sacramento with Luke Walton on the sideline. That could lead to a deal getting done that could benefit both parties.
