Dallas Mavericks Star Trade Target No. 2 — Rudy Gobert
It is unknown if the Utah Jazz will be willing to part ways with Rudy Gobert but he is entering the final year of his contract so it could be possible. Also, the potential rift with Donovan Mitchell could force the Jazz to move on from their big man.
Gobert is one of the league’s best rim protector and a two-time Defensive Player of the Year. He would immediately improve the Mavericks on the defensive end and serve as a pick-and-roll center along with Luka Doncic.
This may not be the perfect fit but playing Kristaps Porzingis along with Gobert would make it difficult for opposing teams in certain matchups.
Porzingis is a stretch-four that can step out and shoot from deep or dominate in the midrange game. The combination downlow of him and Gobert would lead to some entertaining game plans in Dallas.
