The power forward position has become quite important in the modern NBA. It has become crucial to have a player that not only can space the floor, but can defend in space, guard multiple positions, and make some plays with the basketball.

One player that could fit this mold in the 2020 NBA Draft is Patrick Williams. He stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs 225-pounds with an impressive wingspan that spans 7-feet. He’s an explosive athlete that has intriguing lateral quickness for someone his size.

According to a league source, there is a real chance Williams will get selected within the 7-11 range in the NBA Draft. One team to watch, in particular, is the Detroit Pistons at No. 7 overall— as B/R’s Jonathan Wasserman reported.

It’s not easy to find talents that match the description of what Williams can bring to the table. He has even shown an ability to hit pull-up 3s, too. He has clear potential as being a consummate role player for the four spot in the modern NBA.
