Finding wings that can provide high-level perimeter shooting should be a priority for just about any NBA team. There will be one of those talents available in the NBA Draft with Aaron Nesmith.

There is a lot to like about the shooting ability that Nesmith brings to the table. He has extended range and an ability to hit shots with a hand in his face— in spot-up and when coming off screens. He’s also a reliable off the dribble shooter from deep, too.

A league source told NBA Analysis Network that Nesmith will likely be gone before the 20s and is viewed as an attractive trade down option in the for teams. One team to watch is the Phoenix Suns, in particular, but he has the attention of plenty front offices around the league.

The main drawbacks to Nesmith’s skill-set are that he struggles to do much offensively aside from catch-and-shoot and make straight-line drives. If a team with an effective player development staff can work with him to expand his arsenal, it would be beyond worthwhile.
