This is a far cry from what the Clippers gave the Thunder for the rights to George.

Yes, George is still a star, but there’s no doubt that his stock is lower now than it was 18 months ago.

This deal sees the Nuggets part with two pieces of their backcourt and two future first rounders.

Denver hypothetically surrenders the 22nd pick in November’s draft, via Houston, and a first rounder next year. Harris, 26, can be a free agent in 2022. Barton, 30, can be under contract for up to two more years. He holds a player option for 2021-22.
