This Bulls-Wizards blockbuster trade reunites Bradley Beal, Billy Donovan

New Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan coached Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal in college, at the University of Florida. Beal had an incredibly successful NCAA tenure, which culminated in him being selected No. 3 overall in the 2012 NBA draft.

Now, 27, Beal and the Wizards have tried numerous times to make a run in the Eastern Conference, to little avail. Washington has been adamant about retaining Beal, who already has a three-year extension in place with the Wizards.

Still, though, trade rumors persist as Beal would seemingly fit multiple contenders if the Wizards finally opt to trade him.

In Chicago, Donovan will want to establish his own culture, and what better way than to bring in one of his former pupils, in Beal? The Bulls would have a legitimate talent to build around and cultivate a half-court offense with being the focus.

Let’s take a look at a hypothetical trade that would send Beal to Chicago, where he’d have the opportunity to reunite with Donovan.
