Trade Package No. 2

Pelicans acquire Paul George

Clippers acquire JJ Redick, Lonzo Ball, Darius Miller, 2020 first-round pick

This next hypothetical version sees the players acquire three players, two of which have Los Angeles connections in their past.

This deal would send JJ Redick, Lonzo Ball and Darius Miller to the Clippers in exchange for George.

It would be a reunion for Redick, who was a member of the Clippers from 2013 to 2017. And Ball, of course, is the former No. 2 overall pick of the Lakers, who was sent to New Orleans in the Anthony Davis trade.

The Clippers may be hesitant to take on Ball given the predictable banter that would ensue about acquiring on a discarded Laker. But this is one of the more intriguing offers New Orleans could make.

The Clippers know what Redick is capable of, and Ball wouldn’t be expected to take over games thanks to the presence of Leonard.

Miller, 30, missed the entire 2019-20 season with a torn achilles, but he is expected to fully recover.
