NBA Mock Draft: Picks 11-15
11. San Antonio Spurs — Devin Vassell, F, Florida State
The bizarre adjustments to Devin Vassell’s shooting mechanics have to provide some worry to NBA teams. It will be difficult to project the impact of these changes until he is able to use it for a relatively lengthy sample size. Until then, there have to be questions about his impact.
12. Sacramento Kings — Jalen Smith, C, Maryland
It’s not easy to find players with the potential to play a stretch-five role. Jalen Smith has the potential to achieve this and the Kings should look to capitalize on the opportunity to select him. He’s a fluid athlete that can defend in space and that’s fascinating with a 7-foot-2 wingspan.
13. New Orleans Pelicans — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt
There is a major need for the Pelicans to surround Zion Williamson with reliable catch-and-shoot threats. That’s precisely what New Orleans would be getting in Aaron Nesmith, who stands at 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan. He could be an impressive glue-guy.
14. Boston Celtics — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama
With Kemba Walker already dealing with persisting minor knee injuries, the Celtics would be best suited adding a high-potential guard prospect. Kira Lewis Jr. would be able to patiently develop in a great organization that can help him to refine his skill-set.
15. Orlando Magic — Saddiq Bey, F, Villanova
It’s clear that Jonathan Isaac is the Magic’s future at the four spot even though he’s dealt with injuries. A key objective for Orlando will be to find a wing that can knock down open shots at a better rate than Aaron Gordon and Saddiq Bey can get the job done.
