NBA Mock Draft: Picks 6-10
6. Atlanta Hawks — Onyeka Okongwu, C, USC
There isn’t necessarily a clear need for the Hawks after all of the recent NBA Draft selections they’ve made. Atlanta simply needs to find prospects that can fill a key role for a high-level team. The defensive versatility and offensive upside of Onyeka Okongwu fits the bill.
7. Detroit Pistons — Killian Hayes, G, France
Going with a prospect that has potential as a shot creator is something the Pistons should emphasize. Killian Hayes stands at 6-foot-5 with a 6-foot-8 wingspan and that’s intriguing to think about when considering he is a legitimate playmaker and can guard multiple positions.
8. New York Knicks — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn
It’s going to be difficult to find prospects with star potential in this year’s NBA Draft. Sometimes it’s all about finding role players with the potential to have high-level attributes. Isaac Okoro projects as being a proficient defender that can guard multiple positions.
9. Washington Wizards – Obi Toppin, F, Dayton
There seems to be a wide range of possibilities for where Obi Toppin could end up being selected in the NBA Draft. It appears there’s a real chance he can go within the top-five or fall a few spots outside of that range. He’s still a prospect who is already a limited athlete at 22-years-old.
10. Phoenix Suns — Tyrell Terry, G, Stanford
There isn’t a better guard shooter in this NBA Draft class than Tyrell Terry. He’s a knockdown catch-and-shoot threat and allows the game to come with him as a complementary offensive contributor. He’s also a legitimate facilitator and has shot creation upside. The fit with the Suns is intriguing.
