Celtics acquire Andre Drummond, 2021 first round pick

In this hypothetical trade, the Celtics send Brown and next year’s second round pick to Cleveland, in exchange for Andre Drummond and a 2021 first round pick.

While Brown and Drummond aren’t quite at the same stage of their respective careers, this deal would fill a need for both teams.

Drummond holds a player option for 2020-21, which he has been honest about utilizing. Whether the Cavs keep him or trade him elsewhere, expect Drummond to be locked in to his $28 million salary next season, per his option.
