Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Lakers
On the Lakers’ side of things, it is very obvious why this trade makes sense. Being able to acquire a talent like Bradley Beal would take the Lakers to an even higher level. That’s a scary thing to think about.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis are tough enough for opposing defenses to contain. Add in a 30 points per game scorer and a prolific three-point shooter and things get even more difficult.
Granted, giving up so many role players for one player can be difficult. However, the Lakers would have no trouble finding veterans to come in on team-friendly contracts who could play roles. Nothing should stop the Lakers from pursuing Beal.
If the Lakers were able to pull off a deal for Beal, they would once again be favorites to win the NBA Finals. Beal would have no trouble fitting in with the current two stars, as his job of getting open for threes would be much easier.
Los Angeles may not end up pursuing Beal, but this deal would make a ton of sense should they choose to target him.
