Pacers acquire Gordon Hayward

Celtics acquire Malcolm Brogdon, Jeremy Lamb

In this first hypothetical deal, the Pacers part with Malcolm Brogdon and Jeremy Lamb to acquire Hayward.

Brogdon would give the Celtics another option at point guard, and in theory his acquisition would allow Boston to reassess Kemba Walker’s situation.

Walker dealt with a knee injury last season, and Brogdon would give Boston more options this offseason.

Brogdon, 27, averaged career-highs in minutes per game, points per game, and assists per game last season, his first in Indiana.

Boston would also have to take on the salary of Jeremy Lamb to try to offload Hayward’s salary.
