Chris Boucher, Raptors, Early Bird Restricted

One name that has been mentioned for the Celtics is current Raptors power forward Chris Boucher. Standing in at 6-foot-9 and 200 pounds, Boucher could be a nice addition to add more depth to the Boston front-court.

He averaged 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in a limited role with the Raptors. At 27 years old, Boucher is in his prime and has been improving quickly. Boucher would be a low-cost fit for the Celtics and could be a nice role player.

Boucher will be an intriguing free agent target for quite a few teams, but Boston should consider offering him a deal.

Shabazz Napier, Wizards, Unrestricted

Bringing in a better backup point guard could be a priority for the Celtics. Kemba Walker is a star, but when he is on the bench they need better production. A guy that could fit that bill would be Shabazz Napier.

Last season with the Wizards, Napier ended up averaging 10.3 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. He shot 42.8 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from the three-point line. Napier could be a nice bench piece for the Celtics.

Napier would not move the championship needle much, but better depth gives the Celtics a better chance.

Aron Baynes, Suns, Unrestricted

Another intriguing free agency option for the Celtics could be bringing back a former fan favorite. Aron Baynes played one season with the Phoenix Suns and looked really good doing it. Returning to Boston could be a logical choice for him.

With the Suns, Baynes ended up averaging 11.5 points per game to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He shot 48 percent and knocked in 35.1 percent from the three-point line.

Baynes would give the Celtics another consistent presence in the front-court. He has familiarity with Brad Stevens and would not be too expensive. This option would make a lot of fans in Boston happy.
