3. Buddy Hield
Hield is unhappy in Sacramento and is in need of a new beginning. The Knicks are in need of a scoring threat who can shoot the lights out from deep. Both sides could get what they want in this one.
Hield shot 39% from three-point range for the Kings last season. He agreed to a four-year, $94 million extension with the Kings in 2019. That is a large chunk, but the Knicks have assets to match salary.
At 27 years old, Hield is in his prime and has begun to build an identity. He is a strong ball handler who can score from anywhere on the floor and excels from deep.
Hield is a solid player and that is what the Knicks need. They need some scoring threats and Hield would add that immediately. It is unknown what the Kings will decide to do with Hield, but the Knicks should be on the phone if he is on the market.
