The Heat and Wizards share a division, and for Washington to send Beal to Miami and have to play against him every year, Miami would have to pay a steep price.

In this hypothetical, Miami has to part with one of its prized young players in Tyler Herro, as well as its 2020 first round pick in next month’s draft.

To match Beal’s salary, the Heat also part with Andre Iguodala, and Kelly Olynyk, assuming the latter picks up his player option for 2020-21.
