Minnesota Timberwolves
Another team that made calls to the Orlando Magic about Aaron Gordon at the trade deadline was reportedly the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In the time since, Minnesota has acquired D’Angelo Russell in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, and landed the No. 1 overall pick in the lottery.
To say circumstances have changed in Minnesota since the trade deadline would be an understatement.
However, that doesn’t necessarily make Gordon’s fit in Minnesota any less intriguing. He’d still be fun to watch as a teammate of Karl-Anthony Towns, and possibly Russell.
The biggest question would be does Orlando demand the No. 1 pick in exchange for Gordon? If so, that’s probably a non-starter at this point.
Gordon is undoubtedly talented, but the Timberwolves should aim even higher if they’re going to trade the No. 1 pick.
