The Phoenix Suns played exceptionally well in the NBA bubble, but they still fell short of the playoffs.

Phoenix is building around Devin Booker, and the Suns need to continue to put pieces around him in an effort to contend.

The Suns have a highly-regarded coach in Monty Williams, a former No. 1 pick in Deandre Ayton and a talented guard in Ricky Rubio. But Phoenix cannot stop there.

A move for Gordon with the Orlando Magic would show Booker and their fans that Phoenix is serious about trying to win this coming season, and beyond.

The good news for Suns fans, is Phoenix reportedly tried to acquire Gordon at last year’s trade deadline. This at least shows the Suns are thinking big. Ultimately, though, nothing materialized between the two teams regarding Gordon, who starred at Arizona.
