Back in September, Aaron Gordon was named the perfect trade target for the San Antonio Spurs in this Bleacher Report piece.

The Spurs are at a crossroads as of now. They missed the playoffs for the first time in 22 years, and with the team’s championship core from the last decade completely gone, a case can easily be made for a rebuild.

Gordon would be a talented, intriguing fit in San Antonio who can help the Spurs try to remain competitive, while also adding young assets in the coming seasons.

The Bleacher Report piece referenced above posited that the Spurs could deal DeMar DeRozan to acquire Gordon. DeRozan is 31, and at 25, Gordon could fit better with San Antonio’s young core.
