Trade Package #1

Heat acquire DeMar DeRozan

Spurs acquire Duncan Robinson, Andre Iguodala, Kelly Olynyk, 2020 first round pick

This last hypothetical sees the Spurs land one young asset, in Duncan Robinson, in additional to the two veterans and the first round pick.

Robinson burst onto the national scene in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Lakers, when he scored 26 points. 21 of his points came from beyond the arc, and in doing so, he set an NBA record for the most three-pointers in a Finals game by an undrafted player, with seven.

While the Heat didn’t win the Finals, Robinson, 26, showed that the biggest stage in the sport was not too big for him.

He would be a good young piece for the Spurs to build around, but it remains to be seen if the Heat would be willing to include him in an offer for DeRozan.
